1. Introduction of Silver cadmium electrical contacts
Silver cadmium oxide ( AgCdO ) electrical contact has high fusion welding resistance, electric wear resistance and low contact resistance. In some specific fields, so far, no other material can be replaced
Increase Cadmium oxide content can improve the material fusion welding resistance, but will increase the contact resistance and the temperature rise, meanwhile reduce the material of plasticity.
Silver cadmium oxide is the most widely used contact material for low-voltage electrical appliances. In the process of using the contacts, there is a good resistance to arc burning and resistance to welding and low touch resistance from beginning to end. The production process includes powder metallurgy (burning strength and kneading) internal oxidation method, and the content of oxidation barrier is 15 ~ 20wt%. However, cadmium and oxidative barriers are not conducive to health and the environment, and the use of silver oxidative barriers is prohibited by some countries.
